Functionality & Design at Banff Springs

Banff Springs is a popular coastal hotel for both business and leisure guests. Dovetail worked with Banff Springs to undertake a full bedroom refurbishment programme.

 

Dovetail was delighted to be awarded the contract for the refurbishment which focused on design and improved layout.

Furniture Design

A key element of the project was ensuring the functionality of the furniture did not distract from the design. The range developed uses curved edges and shadow gaps to demonstrate subtle yet effectively designed furniture. Shelves rather than drawers add to the spacious feel of the rooms and helps with ease of housekeeping. Headboards manufactured as statement pieces, use horizontal and vertical grains with options on fabrics to set differentials on room types. Panels incorporated in desks hide cables and provide a spacious uncluttered work space. With options for wardrobes, good sized mirrors, breakfast tables in a choice of either oak or walnut veneers, the furniture created with Banff Springs and manufactured by Dovetail meets the needs of both the owners and guests.

To complete the project, tub and side chairs were supplied allowing guests to sit in comfort while using the desk or enjoying the views over the Moray Firth.

Blindcraft mattresses & bed bases manufactured by Dovetail provide guests with a great night’s sleep and the hotel with flexible room options.

Interior Design schemes created by Ashbank Design Studio are stylish, functional and compliant for use within a hotel bedroom.
